I purchased a duplex as an investment property and had many repairs to complete. The downstairs used to be a store and had one wall that was entirely shelves and drawers. I was removing some older fluorescent lights for LED light fixtures and uncovered some questionable electrical wiring. So I removed the entire shelving unit, framed a wall with insulation, and finished with drywall. The light fixtures were switched to LEDs and additional outlets were added throughout the apartment.
